Brett Baker has appeared as a guest soloist with Regent Brass this Friday lunch time.
He performed the remarkable trombone solo 'Freaks' by Gavin Higgins, a fellow school mate from his days back in the Forest of Dean and also a very special encore by Don Lusher.
Led by Paul Archibald, the band performed Bruce Broughton's 'Harlequin' and Berlioz's 'Carnival Romain', whilst tuba soloist Adrian Parker was featured in Peter Yarde Martin's 'Fabulous Gecko'. The band also performed one of composer Paul Patterson's earliest brass band works, 'Countdown'.
Brett told 4BR: "It was great to be right in the heart of London to perform the concert alongside Regent Brass. It's a great initiative they have taken on and has already proved popular."
