Archibald latest addition to Geneva artist stable

The acclaimed trumpet player Paul Archibald is the latest high profile professional player to join the Geneva Group stale of artists and ambassadors.

The Geneva Group has announced that the acclaimed trumpet player, arranger and educator Paul Archibald as the latest addition to their stable of high profile artists and ambassadors.

The company confirmed to 4BR that he will take a leading role in the design and production of the range of Geneva trumpets, cornets and mouthpieces as well as educational collaborations and resource developments throughout Europe and Asia.

He told 4BR: "I'm thrilled to be able to work with Brett Baker and the team at Geneva Group and looking forward to sharing my experience to maintain Geneva's reputation for producing high quality instruments using traditional European skills and techniques.

With their emphasis on excellent instrument manufacture aligned to innovative research and design, I have no doubt that Geneva instruments will continue to resonate with musicians throughout the world."

Experience

Paul is a principal player with the Brandenburg Sinfonia, Britten Sinfonia, London Mozart Players and Orchestra of St John's. He is also the Musical Director of Regent Brass.

He has performed with many of the world's finest professional ensembles, including the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, London Sinfonietta and BBC National Orchestra of Wales and was a member of the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble and English Brass Ensemble.

He trumpet playing can be heard on film scores for the likes of 'Batman', 'Gladiator' and 'Lord of the Rings'.

Paul has been a professor at leading London conservatoires and he is Founder and Artistic Director of English Music Academy and English Brass Academy. In 2003 he was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music.
