New youth band being formed in North London

A new youth band is being formed in the Enfield area of North London led by Alan Duguid.

eNFIELD
The new youth band will be based in the North London area

A new youth band is being formed in North London with the aim of getting more young people learning brass bands instruments and revitalising banding in the Enfield area.

The Enfield Youth Band is being spearheaded by well known conductor Alan Duguid who aims to bring his baton down on the first rehearsal on 15th January.

These will be held at Capel Manor College, Bullsmoor Lane (EN1 4RQ) between 6.30-7.30pm every Wednesday.

Encourage

Alan told 4BR: "If you know of any young brass players of any standard in the area please encourage them to come along, or any young people interested in learning a brass instrument at no cost!"

He added: "Some instruments are available at present with hopefully more to come.

I really hope we can make a difference. There are a lot of socioeconomic issues in the borough and this hopefully will help where funding has disappeared for instrumental tuition."

If you know of any young brass players of any standard in the area please encourage them to come along, or any young people interested in learning a brass instrument at no cost!Alan Duguid
