Foden's set for carol marathon...

Foden's to raise funds for Palanga with a marathon carol playing session — and you can direct them on their way too...

Carols
Foden's will be leading the carol playing — hour after hour...

Foden's Band will team up with their Youth and Junior Bands this weekend to hold a sponsored Carolathon at Sandbach School.

The event on Sunday 24th November will raise funds to help the North West Regional champion represent England at the 2020 European Championships in Palanga.

Fund raising

Speaking about the event, the band's trombone player John Barber told 4BR: "Since qualifying for the Europeans back in October 2018 we have been busy arranging a number of fund raising events to help us reach our £20k target.

As well as band members making individual contributions we would like to thank all those who have contributed either via donations or supporting our event, so we are really looking forward to bringing some early festive cheer alongside our Youth and Junior Band members.

John revealed that the ensembles will play every carol in famous Salvation Army Carol book which should take at least 4 hours!

As an additional fundraising idea we are also offering anyone the chance to conduct a Carol with the massed bands for £25 — so pick a favourite and come along and give it a goFoden's Band

Come and conduct

He added: "As an additional fundraising idea we are also offering anyone the chance to conduct a Carol with the massed bands for £25 — so pick a favourite and come along and give it a go."
