The Llwydcoed Band has announced a number of recent changes in their personnel with welcome new arrivals, dedicated internal moves and some sad goodbyes.
Sadly, goodbyes were said to the Brill family who have been instrumental to the band's successful development over the past few years.
Moves
Meanwhile, a number of moves have seen the highly respected Richard Davies move from the repiano to the principal cornet seat to be joined by Ffion Morris from City of Cardiff Band as bumper-up. Also joining the front row team has been Elizabeth Rogers from Ammanford and the experienced Andrew Smith.
Moves in the cornet section have seen Chloe Eagleson move to repiano and Lynne Turner move to second cornet, whilst the bottom end of the band has been bolstered by a clutch of recruits from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama with Tom Stone joining on Bb tuba and Neve Lawrence and Nathan Garvey making up the Eb Bass section.
Malachi Taylor, a fellow student at the RWCMD joins on bass trombone, whilst David Vellacott has joined as principal percussionist. Former Cory player Gareth Robinson joins on solo trombone after Mark Wilkes transferred to 2nd Euphonium. He replaces John Jones who moves to second baritone.

Acknowledgement
Musical Director Chris Turner told 4BR: "We would like to acknowledge the dedication and flexibility of the Brill family who have played such an important part in our development on and off the contest and concert stage."
4BR was informed that the band was hoping to complete their line-up with the signing of a new solo euphonium.
Chris added: "These fantastic new signings should herald a new era for the band. We've moved from strength to strength and now hope to spread our wings to make the name of Llwydcoed Band outside the borders of Wales."
