Evans to keep beating time...

Richard Evans will be joined by the band that first made his name for the launch of the updated version of his celebrated autobiography.

Evans
Back of the net... Richard Evans has updated his celebrated biography

The one and only Richard Evans will be celebrating the launch of the updated edition of his celebrated book, 'Beating Time' alongside the band that he first made his name with.

He will join Wingates Band and conductor Paul Andrews for a special concert in the band's home town of Westhoughton on Sunday 27th October (4.30pm).

Remarkable career

Richard led the then Wingates Temperance Band to the British Open title in 1975, and will be looking back over his remarkable career, with plenty of reminisces of his time with the band sure to be recalled, as well as his time with Paul together at Leyland Band.

Wingates will provide the musical accompaniment to the evening with a number of his personal concert favourites and test-pieces.

The book will be available to buy on the night.
