National Champion Foden's have entered into a partnership with 'Age UK Cheshire' on a 'Creating a Buzz' project, helping to tackle social isolation and loneliness amongst older people through learning to play a musical instrument.

Concert

To help raise funds for the charity, Foden's will be performing a 'Salute to Sinatra & the Swing Legends' concert at Northwich Memorial Court on Thursday 17th October. The concert will feature the UK's most popular big band singer, Matt Ford for an evening saluting Ol' Blue Eyes' and the legends of swing.

Age UK Cheshire, Marketing Officer, Brian Roberts told 4BR: "Most people will feel lonely at some point in their lives. It's a deeply personal experience that — in most cases — will thankfully pass. But for a growing number of people, particularly those in later life, loneliness can define their lives and have a significant impact on their well being.

We are looking forward to working with Age UK Cheshire and helping older people be less isolated and share with them the great feeling of playing a musical instrument as well as meeting others and having a good timeFoden's

The 'Creating a Buzz' project will provide a wonderful opportunity for older people to be less isolated and learn a new skill from world class musicians".

In response, Darren Lea of Foden's told 4BR: "We are looking forward to working with Age UK Cheshire and helping older people be less isolated and share with them the great feeling of playing a musical instrument as well as meeting others and having a good time", added Darren Lea from Foden's Band.
