Sarah Billard's 'Flowerdale' solo performance at the recent International Brass Band Summer School in Swansea has been seen all around the banding world.

Dronfield & Lowedges Community Band Musical Director, Sarah Billard recently attended the International Brass Band Summer School at Swansea, with a video of her solo performance of 'Flowerdale' on EEb tuba gaining over 6,000 views on Facebook with an additional 1,000 plus on Youtube.

Sarah who plays with Hepworth Band also took the opportunity to demonstrate her conducting skills with a group led by Joe Cook to help her skill set in leading the community band which is linked to the Yorkshire Second Section Dronfield Genquip Band.

Sarah said: "I'm really enjoying conducting the band and preparing for our next concert and more contests in 2020. The band has a great mix of players from all ages and abilities, although we do welcome any people interested in joining us."
