Wadsworth ends his time on the beat with Police

The musical partnership between Kevin Wadsworth and West Yorkshire Police Force Band has come to an end.

Band
The partnership won the Third Section Yorkshire Regional title in 2017.

4BR has been informed that the musical partnership between Kevin Wadsworth and the West Yorkshire Police Force Band has come to an end.

Kevin told 4BR: "After my appointment in the Autumn of 2015, the band went on to claim the Yorkshire Third Section Regional title in 2017 and compete at the National Finals.

Following that fine achievement the band chose to change musical direction, carrying out a busy diary of parade and marching engagements, small 10 piece ensemble work and fanfare trumpet team engagements — all of which didn't require an MD.

Best of terms

He added: "The resultant diary of rehearsals preparing for a handful of formal concerts has led to my decision to stand aside for a replacement more suited to this established format.

I leave on the best of terms with all members and wish them well in their future direction."
