Denby Pottery gets ready for cracking day

Hopefully there will be fine weather to savour as well as the great brass band entertainment at the Denby Pottery Village Contest later this month.

  The Denby Pottery Village Contest has proved to be a popular event with bands and audiences alike.

The Denby Pottery Village contest will take place on Saturday 22nd June with eight bands providing their entertainment programmes for the audience to enjoy alongside their glasses of Prosecco and BBQs.

Attractions

Hopefully the weather will be wonderful, and with free admission and plenty of other attractions it's sure to be a great day in support of Dementia UK. The adjudicator is the respected conductor, Keith Leonard.

It all kicks off with the first band at 11.00am, with each band following on the half hour. After a dinner break the contest resumes at 1.30pm.

January 16 • CORNET PLAYER - looking ahead to the 2026 contest season, ELB are looking for a cornet player to complete our line up. The band is ambitious and keen to further our successful 2025 season of winning the areas and promotion at spring festival.

January 16 • Following our 2nd place finish at the LBBA winter contest and recent promotion to the Senior Cup for the 2026 Spring Festival, we are looking for a SOLO CORNET, a BBb BASS and PERCUSSIONISTS to complete our friendly and hardworking team.
