Don't run into trouble at Whit Friday...

If you are competing in the Tameside Whit Friday contests this year, make sure you are aware of some other runners taking part in a contest of their own...

Make sure you keep an eye out for the runners on Whit Friday

4BR has been informed that bands competing at this year's Tameside Whit Friday contests should be aware of a temporary road closure on the night of the event — Friday June 14th.

Tour of Tameside

The popular 'Tour of Tameside' endurance run will also be taking place on the night. The Friday leg of the race entitled 'Hell on the Fell' will see the Stalybridge bound stretch of Huddersfield Road (B6175) close temporarily between 7.15pm and 7.45pm.

A rolling road closure will be in place between Walkerwood Drive and Demesne Drive during these times. This will travel towards Stalybridge and potentially cause delays.
