Adam Warburton aged 14, and a pupil at Wardle Academy near Rochdale, Lancashire, relaxes in the sun to practice on his trombone.

Adam, was the featured soloist with the Academy's brass band, when they won the European Youth Championship Development Section title in Montreux in Switzerland recently.

His performance of the third movement of the Rimsky-Korsakov 'Trombone Concerto' gained widespread acclaim.

Adam is not only principal trombone of Wardle Academy Brass Band but is also co-principal trombone of the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain.
