Parents, families, supporters and performers are going to be thoroughly entertained at this weekend's National Youth Brass Band Championships of Great Britain — and not just by the music either.
One of the guest comperes for the event will be Dave Benson Phillips, recognisable to children of all ages as the host of the brilliant 'Get Your Own Back' on BBC television, who will be appearing throughout the weekend at Warwick School.
Popular
Dave has been one of the most popular children's presenters on television for over 30 years — so there may even be a few grandparents that will have enjoyed him on programmes such as 'Playbus', which later became 'Playdays', the BAFTA-nominated 'Get Your Own Back', and Disney's 'Wake Up in The Wild Room'.
He is also well known for starring in the best-selling 'Fun Song Factory' video series, 'Petswap' with Fearne Cotton, 'Nick Jnr' for Nickelodeon and 'Words and Pictures' and 'Go For It' for BBC Education.
Dave will compere the proceedings in the Bridge House Theatre where the Intermediate and Debut Sections take place, and will also be appearing at Warwick Hall during the Elementary and Championships Sections.
Sharing the compere roles will be another Dave — the well known and popular brass band presenter David Hayward, who will be the main compère there.

Can't wait
Speaking about the great news that is sure to add fun to the day, BBE Partnership & Development Manager, Alex Parker (who admits to being young enough to have grown up with Dave's antics over the years!), told 4BR: "We can't wait to see the energy and enthusiasm that Dave Benson Phillips will bring to the event.
