The annual West Midlands Solo, Duet & Quartet contest was held at Studley High School on the weekend, and drew enthusiastic support over all categories.
The competition was a great success and was well supported, with adjudicators Paul White and Warren Bellshaw left very impressed with the two competitors.
Fine playing
There was plenty of fine playing on show, with Warren particularly impressed with the standard in the 15 to 18 Section and Paul delighted by the technique and musicality shown in the Air Varie category.
The Desford Chicks quartet gave a sparkling performance to win the Adult Quartet with Arrow Valley raising plenty of laughs with inspired group title of 'Liquid Mud'.
