The European Brass Band Association (EBBA) has announced the list of judges who will make the all important decisions at this year's event in Montreux. The festival takes place between the 25th and 28th April.

Championship Section

The Championship Section set-test and Challenge Section will be adjudicated by trombone virtuoso Ian Bousfield, the Swiss conductor and teacher Herve Grelat and Belgian conductor and former European Solo Championships finalist Bert Van Thienen.

The jury for Saturday's own-choice contest consists of composer Jan van der Roost, who composed 'From Ancient Times' as the set-work for the 2009 Championships, the renowned euphonium soloist and teacher Thomas Ruedi and respected Dutch conductor and composer Rieks van der Velde.

Composers and youth

The entrants for the European Composer Competition (25th April) will be judged by Lucy Pankhurst, John Pickard and Oliver Waespi.

The European Youth Brass Band Championship (28th April) will see Anne Crookston and Glyn Williams judging the bands in both the Premier and Development contests.
