NewMoon appears on BBE horizon

Brass Bands England reveals new partnership link with NewMoon Insurance Services to provide members with more choice and benefits.

New Moon
NewMoon Insurance Services adds to the current links BBE has with the industry

Brass Bands England (BBE) has announced that they have entered into a partnership with NewMoon Insurance Services Ltd.

It's hoped that the new, long-term link will further enhance their member bands' insurance choices, which also include a long-standing arrangement with Brass Band Insurance Services (BBIS) and Making Music.

Extended choice

BBE Chief Executive Officer, Kenneth Crookston told 4BR: "This partnership will give member bands the opportunity to not only obtain bespoke, competitive insurance quotes from NewMoon, but also gain an exclusive increased Band Aid refund back to them of 2.5%.

Bands now have an extended choice in insurance providers from our partnerships, confident that they will enjoy access to many services and benefits."

He added: "Enhanced Band Aid is now available to BBE members that believe the NewMoon offer is right for them. This is a demonstration that BBE will always look at ways to improve choice for member bands."

Specialist provider

NewMoon is a specialist music instrument insurance provider for both individuals and bands.

Under its programme for insured bands, NewMoon provides a refund at inception of 7.5% of premium (excluding tax) and renewals at 5% each year.

Under the new partnership with BBE, NewMoon will increase its Band Aid refund from 7.5% to 10% for BBE members and from 5% to 7.5% at renewal.

This will apply to existing and new customers to NewMoon that are BBE members.

Enhanced Band Aid is now available to BBE members that believe the NewMoon offer is right for them. This is a demonstration that BBE will always look at ways to improve choice for member bandsBBE CEO, Kenny Crookston

Supporting bands

Welcoming the partnership, which starts on 1st March, NewMoon Director Paul Crump added: "We're delighted to have the opportunity to work with BBE.

We've been supporting bands for several years and this opportunity will, in our opinion, give BBE members a competitive bespoke premium offering, comprehensive cover, a choice of providers and, with the increased Band Aid for BBE members, additional funds to invest in their bands or subsidise their BBE membership.

I hope BBE bands will consider our offering, as our quote is free and only takes a few minutes to obtain. It has the potential to save bands money."
