If you want to have a go at finding out what its like to be an adjudicator, then why not give it a go in Stevenage...

The Association of Brass Band Adjudicators is running the initiative in Stevenage

The Association of Brass Band Adjudicators have informed 4BR that there are still a few places left for 11-18-year olds interested in joining the Young Adjudicators scheme being held at the forthcoming London & Southern Counties Regional Championships on the weekend of the 16th/17th March.

Fun day

The initiative is designed to be a fun day for young musicians who are interested in finding out more about the process of adjudication.

It will see each person provided with a score of the Second Section test-piece, meet with the official adjudicators backstage before the start of the section and be mentored by David Ashworth, an executive member of the AoBBA.

They will also receive a complimentary ticket to the contest for their accompanying adult, gain an understanding of how to read a score and gain an invaluable experience of what it's like to be 'in the box'.
