The Association of Brass Band Adjudicators (AoBBA) has told 4BR that they are delighted at the ongoing success of their adjudicator training scheme.
Set up with the purpose of giving experienced musicians who had no previous adjudicating experience the opportunity to learn the basics of adjudication under the supervision of experienced adjudicators, it currently has six trainee going through the extensive process of gaining full membership of AoBBA.

AoBBA Secretary Nicholas Garman told 4BR: "Many trainee adjudicators are now full members of AoBBA and all those speak very positively about how the process helped, informed and prepared them to be able to undertake adjudication to the high standards AoBBA expect."
Excellent relationships
One of the most experienced AoBBA members David Hirst added: "We are grateful to contest organisers for their assistance in allowing our trainees the opportunity to adjudicate in a contest environment and look forward to continuing these excellent relationships in the future".
