Countdown for European Championship tickets

Mark the 1st February in your diaries — as that is the date that tickets for the 2019 European Championships go on sale. Make sure you book early for a seat in Montreux.

  The tickets for the European Championships are on sale from Friday 1st February.

The European Brass Band Association (EBBA) has announced that tickets for the 2019 European Brass Band Championship (entitled EuroBrass19) to be held in Montreux in Switzerland between the 20th and 28th April, will be on sale from Friday 1st February.

Demand

Demand for tickets for the various events to be held at the magnificent Auditorium Stravinski at the Montreux Convention Centre is always very high (especially for the main competitions and gala concert), with listeners and supporters advised to book their seats early to avoid disappointment.

The outstanding facilities added to by the stunning scenery makes Montreux an ideal visitor destination for brass band lovers (flight and rail connections are numerous and easy) — so why not enjoy the music making in style.

25th April: European Composers Competition final*
26th April: EBBC Championship Section (Set-test)
27th April: EBBC Challenge Section & EBBC Championship Section (Own-choice)
27th April: Gala Concert
28th April: European Youth Brass Band Championship (Development & Premier Section)

The final of the Composers Competition will take place in the Casino Barriere.

Harrogate Band

June 15 • After a fantastic result at the Wetherby Drovers Contest, The Harrogate Band are looking for a front row and a back row cornet player to complete the team. Rehearsals Weds 8pm with occasional Sundays at our own bandroom with great transport links


Tintwistle Band

June 15 • We have a vacancy for soprano cornet, and with lots of exciting engagements coming up would love to get this seat filled!. As a second section band,we rehearse every Monday and Thursday 8-10pm at our bandroom in Tintwistle under the baton of MD Jim Henson.
