Brass Bands England has unveiled its new logo for the forthcoming 2019 National Youth Brass Band Championships of Great Britain.
BBE has been working closely with the design company artworks54 to develop a fresh look for an event that has never had a specific brand identity.
Identity
BBE CEO Kenny Crookston told 4BR: "The National Youth Championships are hugely important for the whole of brass banding. We decided the event needed its own identity, allowing the youngsters in our community to really feel like the Championships belong to them."
It is hoped that the design will see participants identify with the representation of the age ranges and dynamism present at the event.
Vibrant
BBE Partnership & Development Manager Alex Parker added: "We wanted to create something that is vibrant and fun, but also conveys the prestige of taking part.
Initial concepts were developed by engaging with youth bands to collect the thoughts and opinions of those we want the logo to speak to, and I think we have something that's really different to other branding in the brass band world."
