Melissa and Emma Ramplin play cornet with the Band of the Welsh Guards in London and euphonium with the Thoresby respectively, and were delighted to be able to help their aunty in her time of need by returning to their home town band where they learned to play and have always kept links.

Both the band and I have been extremely grateful for the way the girls stepped in to help, especially in the run up to Christmas. It was brilliant to have them backSharon Stansfield

Brilliant

Sharon told 4BR: "Both the band and I have been extremely grateful for the way the girls stepped in to help, especially in the run up to Christmas. It was brilliant to have them back."

She added: "We would also like to wish Lewis Blackburn and Fred Aram lots of love and luck in the coming months with their health issues and hope to see them back in action as soon as possible."
