Brass Bands England is looking for volunteers to help support the organization with the hosting of the 2019 National Youth Brass Band Championships of Great Britain.
Warwick School
The event at Warwick School on Saturday 30th March will see 30 bands and ensembles take part, with over 1000 young musicians enjoying the opportunity to test themselves against rivals from across the UK.
With excellent facilities at Warwick School's Bridge House Theatre and the Warwick Hall, it promises to be a memorable occasion.
BBE staff and trustees will be on hand to make sure everything is running according plan, but another 30 volunteers are needed to chaperone the young players and their support teams through the various elements of the contest process on the day.
Support needed
BBE Chief Executive Kenny Crookston told 4BR: "This is a real highlight in the annual brass banding calendar, and we are determined to make it an outstanding event.
It does however require substantial support behind the scenes, so we would like anyone who wants to get involved to contact us about coming to Warwick on Saturday 30th March.
We will reimburse travel costs, make sure they are looked after with plenty of refreshments and take the opportunity to find out more about their involvement in the brass band movement and how we can help them in their work."
The draw for the event was made at the recent Butlins Mineworkers Championship:
