4BR has been informed that Mike Golding has been appointed as the new conductor of Pemberton Old B band.

Second stint

It will be Mike's second stint with the North West band, having enjoyed considerable success during his last period at the helm — including victories at the Rochdale, Buxton, Brass at the Guild and Butlins Second Section contests.

He told 4BR: "I've missed the organisation and the people. I'm also confident that I can be a positive influence and help the band to achieve more success — starting with a good result at the forthcoming Area contest."
