The Lofthouse Band raised £500 for the Macmillan charity

The Lofthouse Band recently held their annual 'Patrons Concert' which raised funds for their chosen charity Macmillan Cancer.

It was a special event this year as one of the band members is currently receiving expert support from the organisation, with the event raising £500.

Bard of Brighouse

The concert certainly had an innovative twist this year as the band shared the stage with the 'Bard of Brighouse', Roger Davies, the popular folksinger.

Together they performed songs such as 'Brighouse on a Saturday Night', 'This Land is Our Land' and 'Wear Your Poppy With Pride' to an appreciative capacity audience.

It was an amazing night and everyone enjoyed the music. It was a pleasure to perform with Roger and very special to help raise funds for such a worthy organisationMD, Andrew Whitaker
