The Scottish Brass Band Association is rounding off what has been a busy and successful year with a trio of high-profile events hosted at Perth Concert Hall over the next two weekends.
Not only will there be plenty of great musical entertainment on show from percussion groups, youth ensembles and youth bands at the Scottish Youth Brass Band Festival, but also keen competitive action with the Band Supplies Scottish Challenge Contest and Scottish Open.

All that and there are plenty of additional attractions, with Katrina Marzella one of a number of top banding stars on hand to provide free workshops, whilst there will be face painting for the youngsters and a brilliant magician!
It all kicks off at Perth Concert Hall on Saturday 17th November at 9.30am, with the Band Supplies Scottish Challenge Contest for bands graded in the First to Fourth Sections.
The following weekend will see the Scottish Open Championship (Saturday 24th November — 12.30pm) with bands from the UK and overseas looking to make their mark on works by Edward Gregson, with the Scottish Youth Brass Band Festival the following day (Sunday 25th) when no less than 28 bands will battle it out for titles and glory.

Katrina Marzella will provide two free workshops on Sunday 25th November at Perth Concert Hall alongside Rachel Neil of Sterling Instruments and the trio of Siobhan Bates, Kyle Lawson and Dan Thomas representing the Salford Graduation Band.
Katrina will lead her sessions from 10.00am — 10.45am and again at 11.30am to 12.15pm.
Siobhan, Kyle and Dan will hold their free workshop from 1.15pm to 2.00pm and Rachel Neil will hold her free workshop from 2.30pm to 3.15pm.
