Exciting climax to Welsh League series in Cardiff

The third leg of the 2018 Welsh League series will take place in Cardiff later this month.

  The final leg of the Welsh League series will take place at Willows High School in Cardiff.

There is sure to be an exciting day of keenly fought competition at SEWBBA Autumn Festival Welsh League Brass Band Contest at Willows High School in Cardiff on Saturday 24th November.

It will be the third and final leg of the annual Welsh League series and will see bands in each section battle to be crowned 2018 champion by performing some stern test-piece choices and enjoyable own-choice selections.

Eight youth bands

There is sure to be a real treat with the excellent news that no less than eight youth ensembles will be showcasing their talents.

It all kicks off at 10.00am and with excellent facilities and plenty of great music to enjoy it should be a fine way to round off the domestic Welsh contest season.

June 19 • Bb bass player. We are an ambitious, busy and sociable 2nd section band (L&SC, National finalists 2023) with a varied blend of engagements, concerts and contests. We rehearse 8-10pm Mondays and Thursdays in Farnham, Surrey. Other enquiries welcome.

June 17 • Our COMMUNITY BAND meet again on Monday (22nd) and we welcome players of all standards to join us for a relaxed,friendly rehearsal with Tea and cake and it’s all free.. Rehearsals are at 11am in our own bandroom playing with us does not effect your band.

June 16 • Longridge Band invite applications for the positions of Flugel and Eb Bass.. We are a friendly and committed band that enjoys a great balance of concerts and contests throughout the year. A contribution to travel expenses are provided.
