Easington Colliery Band has announced the appointment of Jonathan Fenwick as their new conductor.
So impressed
A spokesperson told 4BR: "The band were so impressed with Jonathan's work ethic and professionalism after a successful temporary spell at the helm over the summer, winning at the Beamish and the Picnic in the Park contests.
He also helped prepare the band alongside Daniel Brooks for our recent excellent runner-up finish at the Bolsover contest.
With this in mind we felt he was the perfect person to work with us towards an excellent future."
