4BR has been informed that the eight year musical partnership between Penicuik Silver and Stuart Black has come to an end by mutual consent.
Thanks
Stuart (above) told 4BR: "I must start by thanking the band for their work over the last eight years. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with them, seeing them win prizes, put on great shows and most importantly, grow as a band with the injection of new faces and talented youngsters from the flourishing youth band."
I will be starting some new projects and will be getting more involved with existing ones for which I'm looking forward to. I wish the band all the best for the futureStuart Black
Time for a change
He added: "Over the last few months I've just felt things changing and that it's time for a fresh face to take the reins and run with it.
I will be starting some new projects and will be getting more involved with existing ones for which I'm looking forward to. I wish the band all the best for the future."
During his tenure the partnership enjoyed success in winning the Fourth Section Fife Brass Band Festival title on two occasions, whilst they just missed out on qualifying for the National Finals this year in coming third at the Scottish Championship.
