Brighouse to sound Last Post Home

Brighouse & Rastrick has linked up with Honley Male Voice Choir to help commemorate the end of the First World War

Last Post Home
The release is entitled Last Post Home

Brighouse & Rastrick have linked up with the Honley Male Voice Choir to release a song to mark the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Armistice on 11th November 1918 that ended the First World War.

Last Post Home

Entitled 'Last Post Home', the track has been specially written by Della Holliday and Adrian Williams in memory of those who served, or fell in the global conflict.

The haunting melody features evocative lyrics about a soldier's last letter home, whilst ethereal counter melodies and harmonies reflect further on the emotions of life and death that were an everyday part of serving in battle.

Honley Male Voice Choir under MD Steven Roberts captures the feelings of those who fought, and survived, with the band bringing a deep thoughtfulness to the musical accompaniment.

Unique opportunity

Speaking to 4BR, co-writer Della Holliday said: "This was an unique opportunity, and to bring together Brighouse & Rastrick and the Honley Male Voice Choir produced the perfect sense of reflection we were looking to create.

We hope it will be played many times, both now and in future, so that the ultimate sacrifice of that generation is never forgotten."
