Charity Partners announced by Brass Factor 2018

The WellChild and Royal British Legion will benefit from the proceeds of the fantastic Brass Factor competitions in Holmfirth this year.

Brass FATCOR
Its all about fun and fantastic Brass Factor entertainment...

Brass Factor 2018 has announced that the WellChild and Royal British Legion charities will be supported by the popular event.

WellChild will receive proceeds from the Holmfirth Youth afternoon performances on Saturday 27th October, whilst the Royal British Legion is to benefit from the Brass Factor Holmfirth event the same evening.

Twist

Brass Factor is a celebration of one of Britain's most traditional and best loved forms of stage entertainment — the brass band concert — and was launched in 2010 by Alex Bray. The twist of course comes with that television inspired 'Brass Factor' format.

The competitors in the talent show perform in front of a packed audience as well as a panel of judges. Each gives a 20-minute set, pitching the traditional brass band music in a new light.

Once all the bands have played, the audience and judges then vote for the band they believe has that unique 'Brass Factor'.

Proud

Alex told 4BR: "We are proud to be supporting WellChild and the Royal British Legion during Brass Factor at the Picturedrome Holmfirth when we shall be donating all funds from our raffle on the evening.

We've chosen both charities because of the fantastic work they do with people in all age groups and how they improve the lives of whom they support."
