Although the BBC has not replaced 'Listen to the Band' on Radio 2, it has ensured that brass music of different genres will be given a profile spot on the schedules with the news that a new series entitled 'Top Brass' is being aired.
Top Brass
The first hour long programme on Tuesday 18th September at 9.00pm, hosted by the Australian multi-instrumental star James Morrison will feature music by the recently crowned British Open Champion Cory — although exact details are not yet known — alongside contributions from The Soul Rebels Brass Band, Ray Anderson's Pocket Brass Band, Duke Ellington, and No BS! Brass Band from New York.
Best in the world
