Mead to lead workshop day

Besson euphonium star Steven Mead will be leading a special workshop at Stowe School near Brackley next month as part of an initiative being led by Brackley & District Band.

Band spokesperson Nick Wilson told 4BR: "Band members alongside Stowe School brass students will enjoy an afternoon workshop with Steve during which he will lead us on some challenging new repertoire as well as putting the final touches to the programme ahead of an evening concert.

This workshop offers a fantastic opportunity for us all to draw upon Steven's wealth of experience and talent."

Former pupil

During the concert on Saturday 22nd September (7.00pm) Steve will perform a number of solo items, accompanied by the band which is lead by a former pupil of his, Micah Parsons.
