Iwan Fox recently headed to a hot and sultry Manchester to take the opportunity to catch up with the great lead trumpet player Mike Lovatt on his latest project — a CD of some of his jazz favourites accompanied by his own trio and Foden's Band.

The man with the gold plated Smith-Watkins trumpet has linked up with his old friend Paul Fisher and composer Colin Skinner to produce a host of wonderful tracks.
