The Enderby Band has announced the appointment of Ryan Richards as its new Musical Director.

Currently studying trombone at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and playing solo trombone with Tredegar Band, the 21 year old has already gained a critically acclaimed reputation as a performer and emerging conductor.

Delighted

He told 4BR: "I'm delighted to accept the role with such a forward looking band. There is a real sense of innovation and progressive music making here that appeal to me, and the band's experience and quality is obvious.

The appointment fits in neatly with my other commitments and with a number of exciting projects and the National First Section Finals in Cheltenham on the horizon there is plenty to look forward to together."
