There are two new signings at Enderby Band

The Leicestershire based Enderby Band has announced a brace of new signings just in time for their summer concert period and forthcoming appearance at the National Finals at Cheltenham.

The experienced Colin Allen joins on BBb tuba with the talented Sarah Moore coming in on flugel.

Experience and talent

Colin's varied musical background takes in the flute, trumpet, euphonium and playing in a soul band, as well as spells with Amington, West Midlands Police Brass, Melbourne Town, Enderby Concert and Hathern Bands. His son Christopher is already following in his dad's footsteps and currently plays tuba for Enderby Junior Band.

Meanwhile, Sarah enjoyed her formative years with Beaumaris Band in Anglesey before moving to Barrow Upon Soar and playing with Hathern Concert Brass on principal cornet until 2015. She then moved to Leicestershire Co-op (Snibston) before moving on to flugel.

Colin and Sarah are great additions to our line-up and have already established themselves in the bandBand spokesperson

Great additions

A band spokesperson told 4BR: "Colin and Sarah are great additions to our line-up and have already established themselves in the band.

It's also good to see family members getting involved in the organisation, as at the end of the day, our youth members are our future."
