The members of the A4 Brass Quartet are gearing themselves up for their first summer of international touring, following their recent success claiming the prestigious Royal Over-Seas League Chamber Music award.
The quartet has already gained widespread critical acclaim and will now have the opportunity to further increase their profile in three different countries.
First stop
The first stop is the Lieksa Brass Week in Finland at the end of July, where they will perform two concerts; 'Works for Us' — showcasing the original compositions and commissions for the quartet, and 'Borrowed Brass' — dedicated to a number of special arrangements. The group will also perform a special children's concert as well as giving teaching workshops.
It will be followed by a return trip to Lithuania, where they will once again perform at the popular Trakai Fanfare Week, whilst also making an appearance at the Dudu Vasara Festival.
