The respected orchestral and brass band bass trombonist Simon Minshall will be replacing his usual formal concert performance attire to don a bit of lycra to help support the Brass for Africa Charity.
Into the saddle
On 29th July he will get into the saddle of his bike to take on the 100 mile Prudential Ride London-Surrey bike ride to help some of the world's most disadvantaged children.
He told 4BR: "Any saddle sores will be well worth it to help Brass for Africa and the wonderful work it undertakes.
The opportunity to learn and play music has the most profound, empowering, life-affirming effect, particularly on the youngsters in the most terrible of circumstances.
Brass for Africa works alongside local organisations to provide regular music education, life skills training and performance opportunities and helping them is a real priviledge."
