The Leicestershire Brass Band Association's annual 'Open' competition is now taking entries its 2018 competition.

The Leicestershire Contest is now open to entries.

The Leicestershire Brass Band Association's annual 'Open' competition is now taking entries its 2018 competition.

The popular event is now fully established at its new venue of Loughborough Endowed Schools in Leicestershire and offers six sections of competition — from Championship to Unregistered.

This year's competition will be held on Sunday 18th November across two halls on the Loughborough campus.

Association Secretary, Lesley Bentley told 4BR: "We're looking forward to welcoming all participating bands from across the country.

Closing date

The closing date for entries is Friday 21st September.
