The East Yorkshire Motor Services Band has publically thanked Ian McCormick and Thoresby Colliery Band for coming to their rescue with an emergency loan of a euphonium at the recent Grand Shield contest in Blackpool.
Just minutes before they went on there was a problem with second euphonium player Sam Ringrose's instrument as one of the valves stuck fast.
Averted
Thankfully any calamity was averted as Thoresby Band came to the rescue — straight away kindly offered one of their instruments, whilst Band Supplies also offered to help too.
