Hade Edge opens doors for solo and ensemble entries

The 8th Annual Slow Melody & Ensemble Competition will once again be held in the impressive bandroom at Hade Edge on Saturday 16th June.

The 8th Annual Slow Melody & Ensemble Competition will once again be held in the impressive bandroom at Hade Edge on Saturday 16th June.

The event has become an established part of the Slow Melody circuit, and offers a friendly welcome, great refreshments and a relaxed atmosphere, whilst this year also sees another special award introduced.

Adjudicator

Organiser, Graham Bates told 4BR: "We're delighted to have secured the services of Leigh Baker to adjudicate this year's event. Leigh is a well known adjudicator, former member of Brighouse & Rastrick, current MD of Hepworth Band and producer of a number of fine brass band arrangements."

April 3 • We have vacancies for a trombone player and a bass player. Cleethorpes Band rehearse near the seafront on Thursday and Sunday evenings. Placed 3rd in the NOE 4th section. Other players are always welcome as we may be able to switch positions around
