An ensemble from Menai Bridge Band Porthaethwy was recently invited to perform at the annual Anglesey Day in the Jubilee Rooms of the Houses of Parliament in London.

The yearly event has become a popular day within Westminster political circles and at the request of Band President and event host, Albert Owen, the MP for Anglesey, the ensemble entertained guests, major businesses representatives and organisations from the island.
Dignitaries and cross-party MPs who attended the event which took place after Prime Minister's Questions included the Secretaries of State for Wales & Business and Energy, MPs Alun Cairns and Greg Clark, Plaid Cymru's Westminster leader, Liz Savile-Roberts and the Labour Party leader, Jeremy Corbyn.
The highlight of the day was a personal guided tour by the band's president, Albert Owen MP of the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Hall and the famous Member's TerraceBand Secretary, Sheila Owen
