The Dutch champion will make the first of three appearances at the European host venue this weekend.

The Dutch National Champion Brass Band De Wâldsang will be enjoying a triple Utrecht experience over the next few weekends.

The band will of course represent the home nation at the European Championships — their 20th appearance at the event on the weekend of the 5th/6th May, but before that they will appear at two other events.

Sings Day

This weekend under MD Rieks van der Velde they will perform at the annual 'Nederland zingt dag' (Netherlands Sings Day), which is hosted in the complex's congress and exhibition centre 'De Jaarbeurs', organised by the Dutch broadcasting company EO.

An audience of more than 10,000 people will hear the band accompany the audience and choirs, with the event broadcast on national television.
