The Shrewsbury Brass Band led by conductor Steve Pritchard-Jones has just returned from a successful Easter weekend tour on the Isle of Wight.
Five concerts
The band performed five concerts as well as giving an additional performance at the Historic Dockyard in Portsmouth. One of the highlights of the trip was a concert at St Catherine's Church in Ventor which raised £1,300 for charity.
The eclectic repertoire certainly found favour with audiences, pieces such as 'Finale' from 'William Tell', 'Flowerdale', 'Sing, Sing, Sing', 'Overture' to 'The Magic Flute', 'Old Comrades', 'Blaze Away', 'Bandwagon' and 'Feelin' Good'.
