Chris Williams is regarded as one of the finest pianists in Wales

Delegates at the International Brass Band Summer School (IBBSS) (July 29th — August 4th) will be able to perform with one of Wales' finest pianists, with the news that Chris Williams will be part of the course's world class tutorial team.

Celebrated

Chris is the celebrated resident accompanist at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in Cardiff and has worked alongside some of the finest international musicians who have visited there over the years.

And as Course Director Prof Nicholas Childs told 4BR, he will be on hand (two hands even!) every day for delegates to perform any solo they want to work on or perform at the popular 'Delegates Concert'.

"Chris is a brilliant pianist who has such an understanding of a performer's needs. I'm delighted he will be joining us and he will be another world class tutor who will work with delegates each day."

Vibrant atmosphere

Prof Childs added: "That is what creates such a vibrant environment at the IBBSS — one that combines fun and work — all brought together with plenty of great music making. We want delegates to bring their dream solo with them and work with Chris on it — it's an opportunity not to be missed."
