Gerry Russell, one of group of people responsible for the design and building of Bolton's famous Octagon Theatre, has become the new President of Eagley Band.

While still a student in Loughborough he helped design the revolutionary model of theatre — one which has subsequently been copied across the world, and which was opened in 1967.

Now he is delighted to renew his association with Chris through Eagley Band, stating that he was "honoured and proud" to have been able to take on the important role4BR

In recent years he has been a Trustee at Bolton Hospice and for the past two decades has been the generous principal sponsor of Chris Wormald's Smithills School Senior Brass, Wind and Jazz Bands.
