Our kind of town! Worcestershire Youth get ready for Chicago

The talented youngsters of the Worcester City Brass Youth Band will be heading across the Atlantic to enjoy a musical taste of America.

  The Worcester Youth Band will head to the USA in April

The Worcester City Brass Youth Band and MD Nicky Daw will leave for a trip of the USA in April, where they will perform in Chicago as the guests of the William Henry Harrison High Band.

Return visit

The trip marks the reciprocal return following their visit to England in 2015, and whilst in Chicago the band hopes to perform in concert as well as embark on excursions to the famous Indianapolis 500 circuit and play at an Indy Fuel ice hockey game.

The band has also accepted an exciting invitation to be the guest performers at the North American Brass Band Championships in Fort Wayne on April 7thBand spokesperson

Band spokesperson Chris Daw told 4BR: "The band has also accepted an exciting invitation to be the guest performers at the North American Brass Band Championships in Fort Wayne on April 7th.

It's a very exciting opportunity to be representing the youth brass band movement in the UK whilst touring Chicago."
