Reg Vardy trio boosts the Area ranks

Reg Vardy will head to the North of England Regional Championship boosted by a trio of new arrivals.

The Reg Vardy Band has strengthened its ranks ahead of its North of England Regional challenge on the weekend in Durham with a trio of new players.

Helen Douthwaite-Teasdale returns on principal trombone after the departure of Andrew Enzor due to work commitments. Helen was previously the band's second trombone player before leaving us to study at the Scottish Conservatoire.

All three have fitted seamlessly into their respective sections and we're looking forward to having them with us for many years to comeBand spokesperson

Meanwhile, Ceri Heaney, also a graduate of the Scottish Conservatoire joins on solo cornet from Marske Brass Band, whilst Will Roberts comes in on the tuba section from Dunston Silver Band, completing the Eb tuba team.

A band spokesperson added: "All three have fitted seamlessly into their respective sections and we're looking forward to having them with us for many years to come."
