The Brass for Africa Charity will hopefully receive a major cash boost this week when a host of leading performers take part in a special concert at St. Paul's Church in the famous jewelry quarter of Birmingham.
Major project
It forms part of the final year major project being undertaken by Royal Birmingham Conservatoire student Ryan Richards, the principal trombone player of Tredegar Band.
Ryan has organised the event which will see him conduct the 'All Star' Band featuring players from Tredegar, Black Dyke, Grimethorpe, Leyland, Virtuosi GUS and more — and will include soloists Richard Marshall, Owen Farr, Matthew White, Les Neish and Nick Hudson.
There will also be a special guest appearance from the one and only Richard Evans.
Inspirational
He told 4BR: "This has been a project that has been close to my heart as the work undertaken by Brass for Africa is so inspirational.
My thanks go to all the players for giving up their time to come and support it, and I'm sure it will be a great evening of music making for a wonderful cause."
