The forthcoming North of England Regional Championships has gained welcome support from the Banks Group.

Proactive work

At a time when financial support for major brass band events is hard to come by, the proactive work of the Regional Committee has been rewarded with the Banks Group' support enabling the event at the Gala Theatre in Durham to secure much needed long term sustainability and development at its impressive venue in the heart of the city.

Support

North of England Regional Secretary Tony Griffiths told 4BR: "We're understandably delighted to have received financial support from the Banks Community Foundation.

Harry Banks OBE, the Chief Executive of the Banks Group has had a life time interest in brass bands and especially in helping it through the involvement of young people."
