Leyland prepare for Brass Extravaganza

The Leyland Band will lead a Brass Extravaganza in Aberystwyth this weekend.

  The Leyland Band will be leading the Brass Extravaganza event in Aberystwyth.

Following last year's highly successful Brass Extravaganza, Aberystwyth Silver Band and Ceredigion Music Service will welcome Leyland Band to this year's event to be held on Saturday 27th January.

It takes place at Penglais School in Aberystwyth where the day will start at 10.00am with competitions for young brass players up to 21 years of age.

Workshops

Following the presentation of certificates and prizes, players from Leyland will hold a series of workshops for different instruments.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "The day will be rounded off by a concert at 7.30pm and promises to be an exciting mix of traditional and contemporary music featuring the participation of local young and not so young brass and percussion players."
